Hydrawise Controller

If you own an irrigation system or are thinking of installing one, you have probably heard about or researched wi-fi integrated controllers. These smart controllers are an increasingly popular option in the last few years. We have not been promoting the wi-fi controllers up to this point, as we just were not happy with the products that were available. Most of them made the systems harder to use, and our job as your irrigation contractor more difficult and time consuming, which results in extra costs for you, the homeowner.

Hunter Industries has come out with a new smart controller called the Pro HC with Hydrawise web-based software. This smart controller, we believe is the best one on the market. This controller can help save you up to 50% or more on your monthly water bills. It monitors your local weather to let your system know if it needs to water, based on numerous things, i.e. rainfall, humidity, wind speed, temperature, etc. This can result in a huge savings on your bill, as we all know Iowa weather changes frequently from hour to hour. For an added fee built-in flow rate and valve monitoring can be installed, which can instantly alert you in the event of a problem. Also, the remote control feature enables you to start or stop watering cycles from anywhere you are as long as you have an internet connection. This can be beneficial in scenarios where you are at work, on vacation, or out of town.

One of the reasons we like this particular controller, is that it will work with or without wi-fi. If you are building a home and have new sod you need to water, but your internet connection is not yet set up, or for some reason it just stops working, no problem. This controller can be programmed at the faceplate if necessary until your wi-fi signal is on.
